Pre & Post Event Massage
Pre-event massage is massage carried out before an athletic event or competition. It does not take the place of a warm up and is best done 20 to 30 minutes prior to competition, with the focus being on the muscles stressed most in the competition.
Post-event massage is carried out to,
.Decrease muscle soreness and/or cramping
.Facilitate a faster return to training after an athletic event.
It is important you cool down first by walking for 15 or 20 minutes before post-event massage. This will help prevent muscle cramps.
